DEATH OF MRS. BRIGHT FIELDER
News of Death Causes Sorrow Throughout the City

Many in Sherman were sorrowful yesterday because of the death of Mrs. Frances Fielder, wife of D. Bright Fielder, which occurred Saturday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the residence, No. 805 North Travis street.  Mrs. Fielder was taken ill on November 2nd and was taken to the sanitarium where she remained until last Friday.  She had been dangerously ill for several weeks but had recovered a great deal during the past two weeks.  However, just before she was removed home, she was taken worse.
She was removed from the sanitarium to the residence, an elegant home recently built and equipped on the day of the first anniversary of her marriage to Mr. Fielder.  They were married Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, November 29, 1911, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bryant in Whitewright.
Mrs. Fielder was born and raised at Whitewright.  She was a graduate of Kidd-Key College of this city and of the Currie School of Expression in Boston.  She was accomplished in every manner and numbered her friends by those who knew her.  She was 24 years of age.
The funeral service was held at the residence yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and interment was at West HilL Cemetery.  Relatives, friends and acquaintances were here to attend from out of the city and many people of Sherman attended the service.  Rev. Mountcastle of Whitewright conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Forrest Smith and the Rev. W.J. Miller, both of Sherman.  The Elks lodge, through courtesy to Mr. Fielder, attended the funeral in a body. There was a tremendous quantity of flowers sent in memory of the deceased.
Deceased is survived by her husband of Sherman; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charley Bryant and the following brothers and sister, all of whom reside at Whitewright: Mrs. Floyd Everheart, Monroe Bryant, Albert Bryant, Fitzgerald Bryant, Charley Bryant, Jr., and Marvin Bryant.
