  Donald E. Johnson, Sr. 23 August 1931 - 2 December 1989 US Army Korea  The Herald Democrat March 25, 2014 Sherman - Imogene Johnson, 80, of Sherman passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Emeritus of Spring Creek Gardens of Plano. Funeral services were held Tuesay, March 25 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, with Pastor Leland Samuelson officiating. Interment followed in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born February 10, 1934 in Denison to Dewey Owen and Martha Clara McFall. She was a 1952 graduate of Sherman High School and worked for Texas Instruments, Sherman. On July 5, 1952, she married Donald "Cotton" Johnson in Sherman; they enjoyed 37 years of marriage before his death in 1989. She was a member of Key Memorial United Methodist Church in Sherman and later Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Dewey T. Owen adn Bill Owen; sisters, Cora Mae Simco. Tressie Martin, and Wanda Tarbin. She is survived by her children, Donald Eugene Johnson, Jr. of Alvarado, Texas; Michael O. Johnson of Allen, Texas; Shannon Denise Reed of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Lois Sims of Sherman and Jodi Finley of Forney, Texas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
