Monday, January 9 [sic] , 1911 pg. 1 BURIAL OF WALLACE WILKINS Took Place From St. Mary's Yesterday Morning The funeral of Wallace Wilkins which took place from the home of Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Chapman in N. Crockett street yesterday from whence the body was taken to St. Mary's Catholic church where the services for the dead were conducted by Rev. Jos. Blum, brought forth many evidence of the respect and esteem in which the dead man and his bereaved family are held and of the deep and sincere sympathy that has gone out to them. The floral offerings were of beautiful and emblematic design and in their profusion completely covered the mound at West Hill where the burial took place. The active pall-bearers were: D.W. Gulick, W.L. Ely, Tom Bass, Walter Akers, Ed Hildebrand, Allen Birge, Rowan Mills and W.A. Murphy. The list of honorary pall-bearers was quite large and included many members of the bar, a mark of respect to the father of the deceased, the late Judge W.W. Wilkins. Members of the family in attendance on the funeral were the wife, Mrs. Nettie Wilkins; the mother, Mrs. W.W. Wilkins; and brother, Mr. Ed Wilkins. Mrs. Marion Goodbar was at Lebannon, Tennessee and could not reach Sherman in time. Mrs. Nettie Wilkins has returned home to San Antonio.
