James Russell Hamrick 8 November 1968 - 23 September 2008 The Herald Democrat September 26, 2008 Sherman - James Russell "Jim" Hamrick, 39, of Sherman passed away Monday, September 23, 2008. Funeral services were held Friday, September 26 at Merriman Hills Baptist Church with Rev. T.C. Carrroll and Rev. Michael Perry officiating; Dannel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery. Jim was born in Long Beach, California, son of Kenneth R. Hamrick and Lela Ellis. On March 4, 1995 he married Charlene "Charlie" Myllo in Bellflower, California; they moved to Sherman in 2000. Jim was a professional bowler and employed as a mechanic at Lone Star Lanes. He bowled his first 300 game at age 16 and was known for bowling several 300 games. Jim was a member of the Professional Bowling Association and bowled in the "High Roller" bowling tournaments in Las Vegas. Jim was preceded in death by his father and sister, Beverly Jean Rasmussen.
