Sherman Democrat April 19, 1995 A-8 SHERMAN - Graveside service for William "Bill" Randolph Voelkle, 66, of Sherman, who died April 16, 1995 at Doctors Hospital East Loop in Houston, were held Wednesday morning at West Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Voelkle was born February 15, 1929 in Grayson County, son of William L. and Vera Thelma Greene Voelkle. He attended schools in Ethel and Collinsville. He married Frances Hahn on December 29, 1951 in Galveston. He served in the United States Navy for more than 22 years. He was a retired Naval Chief Aviation Electrician. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #2272, American Legion, Post 47 American Veterans, the Elks Lodge #2280 and Fleet Reserve Association. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; and 2 sisters, Joyce Ann Whitley of Nashville, Tennessee, and Frieda Joleen Rosen of Alburtis, Pennsylvania.
