 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas The Denison Press Friday, July 23, 1943 Mrs. Katie E. Payne, 65, living at the Frost home for the aged, was buried here Tuesday morning following her death Sunday. Services were at Short-Murray chapel with Rev. Boyd Jones, assisted by Rev. J.C. Oglesby. Interment was at West Hill cemetery, Sherman with a brief service conducted by Rev. J.A. Ellis. Born January 4, 1878 in Tennessee, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rodgers. She was married at Sherman. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and other distant relatives, besides a sister, Mrs. Ida Massey, Sherman.
