West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Willard I. Tuttle 21 October 1905 - 3 June 1994 Leland L. Tuttle 14 July 1913 - 18 March 2003 Sherman Democrat June 5, 1994 A-10 Services for W. I. Tuttle, 88, of Sherman who died Friday in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Pledger and the Rev. Jack Gibson of First United Methodist Church in McKinney will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Section of West Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Mr. Tuttle was born in Kaw City, Okla., the son of Miles Early and Idella Matthew Early. He graduated from high school in Blanchard, Okla., and later graduated from University of Oklahoma, where he received a degree in business administration. Mr. Tuttle married Leland Leach on Dec. 14, 1932 in Sherman. He was secretary/treasurer/president of Pool Manufacturing Company for more than 44 years, retiring as general manager and president. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 30 years and chairman of the board of Trustees. He also served as a lay minister. Mr. Tuttle was a Rotarian for more than 40 years and served as president. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Marilyn Andrews of Sherman; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve Van Hooser, Stewart Freeman, John Hibbert, Tom Jarvis, Richard Adams and Ted Nurre. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday and other times at the residence. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association or the First United Methodist Church.
