 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Denison Herald May 21, 1992 A-2 Services for Carrie Bell Thompson, 91-year-old retired cook of Sherman, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Grand Avenue Church of Christ. She died Wednesday at Medical Plaza Hospital. Charles Shaw of the church will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyd-Smith-White Mortuary. Mrs. Thompson was born in Savoy, the daughter of Henry and Mary Whitney and attended Savoy schools. In 1939, she married John W. Thompson in Savoy. She was a member of the Grand Avenue Church of Christ. Surviving are her sons, John Thompson and Paul Henson, both of Sherman; daughters, Thelma Simmons of Sherman; Minnie Gaston of Birmingham, Ala.; and Patsy Maxwell of Maryland; and sisters, Lorena Callies and Mable White, both of San Antonio. Pallbearers will be Carl Carey Jr., Crieg Carey, Billy Boyd Jr., David Boyd, Paul Henson Jr. and Paul Thompson. The family will be at 1313 McCall in Sherman tonight.
