Graveside services will be held Monday June 27, 2016 11am at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Chaplin Victor Ortiz will be officiating. Eldarie was born March 15, 1926 in Teague, Texas to the late Barry Connell and Louella (Barrett) Connell. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing 42, canning her famous sweet pickles, and most of all spending time with her family. Eldarie is survived by her daughter, Sherry Davidson and husband Sid of Sherman; Steven Shelton and wife Sherry of Cedar Creek, Texas; sister-in-law, Ettie Connell of Cedar Hill, TX; grandson, Sam Davidson of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Shelton, brothers Dean Connell, Bert Connell, and Jack Connell. In lieu of flower donations in Eldarie’s name can be made to the Salvation Army.
