West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Mrs. Fannie Lamberth A veteran church and Sunday school worker, Mrs. Fannie Lamberth, age 75 years, died at her home at 1307 East Cherry street at 5:20 o'clock Sunday morning. For more than twenty-four years she had taught one Sunday school class in the Key Memorial Methodist church with which she united immediately on coming here from Corinth, Miss., thirty-five years ago. She had been president of the women's missionary society of the church for about twenty years. She was born in Tennessee on the old Shiloh battle ground. Her father was an adjutant general in the Confederate army. The family moved to Corinth soon after her birth and there she was reared and married. After the death of her husband, she came to Sherman. Since she was twelve years of age, Mrs. Lamberth had been a teacher in Sunday school and never missed church or Sunday school services unless compelled to do so because of illness. She is survived by six children: Claude Lamberth of Brownsville, Quitman Lamberth of seattle, Wash., P.W. Lamberth of Wichita Falls, J.E. Lamberth of Fort Worth, Mrs. M.B. Jackson of Sherman and Mrs. A.B. Tuma of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services were to be held at the Key Memorial church at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. J.W. Slagle, pastor of the church conducting, and Dr, T.J. Manton, pastor of the Central Presbyterian church, officiating. Dannell-Scott company had charge of arrangements. Interment was in West Hill cemetery. Active pall bearers were Joe B. Brown, Hary Belden, T.B. Cleary, John Dixon, Frank Moseley and John Davis.
