CAPT. GOODE IS DEAD
The Body Will Be Brought Here for Interment
A telegraphic message was received this morning from B.L. Platter announcing the death of Capt. F.M. Goode at Rockport....Capt. Goode is well known in Sherman.  He lived here for many years, but about one year ago moved to Gainesville.  He was identified with the flouring mill interests here for a long time, and afterward did a real estate business of considerable dimensions.  His death will be a surprise and a matter of regret to all.

CAPT. GOODE INTERRED
   ________
His Remains Rest For Eternity in Sherman's Cemetery.

The funeral of Capt. F.M. Goode did not occur today until after 12 o'clock, because of a delay in the arriaval
of the body, caused by a failure in train connections. The procession contained many of his old friends and
acquaintances.
At the grave a feeling of tribute was paid for his memory by Rev. J. M. Binkley and then the scene was closed.
Many regrets have been heard at the sudden termination of his life, and many peope have spoken kindly of him
as a man and a citizen. Peace to his ashes.
