West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Sherman Daily Democrat Thursday, January 12, 1911 HENRY FREDERICK ---- Died from Natural Causes at Room in Hotel, Fort Worth. ___________ The following appeared in the local columns of the Fort Worth Record of today concerning the death of Henry Frederick, who died at the Westbrook Hotel in Fort Worth Tuesday night and of which mention was made in yesterday's Democrat: "Henry Frederick, forty-two years of age, a barber from Lubbock, Texas, was found dead in his bed at the Westbrook hotel about midnight Tuesday night. Physicians pronounced his death due to heart failure and Justice Maben, after the inquest decided that death was due to natural causes. "In company with E. B. Penny, another barber from Lubbock, Mr. Frederick came to Fort Worth Tuesday morning. The two registered at the Westbrook soon after their arrival and were together most of the day. Tuesday night Penny proposed that they go to the smoker which the Bovinians were tendering to the visitors in the city, but Frederick complained of a severe headache and preferred to retire to his room. He did so and when Mr. Penny returned from the smoker he found Frederick dead. Physicians examined the body and Justice Maben held the inquest. "Frederick was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Macacabees and is survived by a widow and three daughters. They will arrive from Lubbock early this morning and will accompany the body to Sherman, the old home of the family, where the body will be buried today." The body of Henry Frederick arrived in Sherman at noon today via the Frisco and was accompanied by the wife of the deceased and W. G. Corder of this city, recorder for the Knights of the Maccabees, of which order the deceased was a member. Immediately upon the arrival of the train the body was taken to the First Presbyterian church where it was held until 3:30 this afternoon when services were held.
