 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Dixie O. Bundy 1921 - 2008 The Herald Democrat June 30, 2008 Dixie Oehler Bundy, 86, of Sherman passed away on Thursday June 26 at Texoma Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Dannel Funeral Hom, followed by interment in West Hill Cemetery. Lay Minister Mary Lois O'Neal of Key Memorial Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Dannel Funeral Home. Dixie was born on August 29, 1921 in Broken Bow, Okla. to Dick and Lela Stiles Oehler. She attended elementary school in Broken Bow and high school in Sulphur. She went on to East Central State University in Ada, earning a B.S. degree in speech. She married Arthur H. Bundy in Pauls Valley, Okla., on Dec. 14, 1975. He died on May 20, 1978. A devoted Methodist, she served as a missionary teacher in the Yucca Valley of California and on the foreign field in Singapore. After retiring to Broken Bow, she moved to Sherman in 1998. Predeceased by her parents and her husband, Dixie is survived by her friend and caregiver Felton Cash of Leonard; a stepson; 3 nieces; many cousins and a host of other friends.
