Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Mary Igo
Mrs. Mary Ella Igo, 81, widow of the late William W. Igo, pioneer cattle man of Grayson county, died Wednesday morning at her late residence, 1019 South Crockett.  Mrs. Igo had been in declining health for the past year.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at the residence, with Dr. J.A. Ellis, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in the West Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Will Leslie, Stanly Roberts Sr., W. Morgan Works, M.C. Everheart, H.G. Tuck and W.B. Gibson.
Mrs. Igo was born in 1857 in Beville parish in Louisiana, as Mary Ella Potts, daughter of Capt.Theodore and Mehalia Collins Potts. She was married in 1872 to William W. Igo. Mr. Igo died in 1912.
Mrs. Igo came to Texas with her parents at the age of 9 and settled in Grayson county. She had resided in Sherman for half a century and was one of the oldest members of the First Baptist church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H.E. Crenshaw of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Henry Kennedy _____, a brother, S.C. Potts of Sherman, and a niece, Miss Lillie Potts of Stamford.
