FANNIE FRANKS Well Known Sherman Woman Died After Short Illness. Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Franks, 70 years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mollie Hash, at 5:10 o'clock this morning, following a short illness. Funeral services willl be held at t he East Sherman Baptist church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clcok in charge of the pastor, Rev. Joseph Pierce, followed by interment in Cedar cemetery, 10 miles southeast of Sherman, near Ida. Mrs. Franks became ill at the home of her son, Dan Franks, In Ennis, a week or more ago. She had made her home in Sherman for about 20 years, and prior to living here was a resident of the Ida community. She was the widow of the late Isaac Newton Franks of Sherman, who died about 9 years ago, and it will be by his side that she will be buried. Mrs. Franks is survived by the following children, all grown: Mrs. Mollie Hash of No. 502 South H azlewood street; Lee Franks of Oakdale, Louisiana; C.A. Franks and Mrs. Abbie Davidson of Ft. Townsen, Oklahoma; Joe Franks of Sherman; Dan Franks of Ennis; Sam Franks of Sherman; and Mrs. Kate Stanton of B lanchard, Oklahoma. The death of Mrs. Franks has ca used genuine sorrow in a large circle of friends who knew and loved her.
