Bean - Funeral services for Arthur Williams, 54, who died at his home
near Sherman at 6 p.m. Tuesday after a long illness, were to be held at
2 p.m. Wednesday at the Tom Bean Baptist church. Rev. C. Chumbley
of Howe was to officiate and burial was to be in Cedar cemetery,
directed by Francis.
A native of Tennessee, Mr. Williams was born January 31, 1855, son of J.B. and Jane Williams. Coming to Texas as a small boy with his parents, he was married to Miss Lona Hopper 25 years ago. Surviving are his widow; 2 sons, J.B. Williams of California, and John Williams of Trenton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Fielder Harris of Luella; Mrs. Lucy Burns of Denton; and Miss Mickie Williams of Sherman; a brother, John Williams of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and 4 sisters, Mrs. Ida Arnold of Whitewright; Mrs. M.N.
