Mrs. B. S. Vincent, 98, believed to have been Sherman’s oldest resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Little, 904 South Walnut, Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. She left 132 direct descendants.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m., at the Waldo Funeral Chapel. Rev. Claud Johnston, pastor of the North Park Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Cedar Cemetery, near Ida, southeast of Sherman.
Mrs. Vincent was born March 9, 1852 in Marshall County, Tennessee. On August 1, 1871, she was married to B. S. Vincent.  He died January 17, 1923. She had been a member of the Baptist Church for 82 years. She came to Sherman October 11, 1891.
Survivors include five sons - J. A. Vincent of Tom Bean; T. S. Vincent of Whitewright; J. H. Vincent, F. B. Vincent and U. L. Vincent. all of Sherman; a daughter, Mrs. Mattie Little of Sherman; 34 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Sherman, Texas - Funeral services for Mrs. Tom S. Vincent, 75, of the Ida community, who died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital, a service held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ida Baptist Church.  She had been ill ten years.  Rev. Craig Freeman of Dallas officiated, assisted by Rev. Dickie Thornton, pastor of the Ida Baptist Church.  Burial was in Cedar Cemetery.
Mrs. Vincent was a native of Grayson County.  She was a member of the Tom Bean Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. J.A. Neal of Tom Bean; Mrs. H.D. Cobb of Grand Prairie; Mrs. Hoyt Skipworth of Whitewright; Mrs. D.A. Walker of Sherman; and Mrs. Lee Dodson of Van Alstyne; eight sons, W.D. Vincent of Dorchester; Ben Vincent of Idalou; Horace Vincent of Whitewright; Howard Vincent of Pasadena, California; J.C. Vincent of Tom Bean; Tom S. Vincent Jr. of Garland; Don Vincent of Denison and Charles R. Vincent of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Arvel Wilder of Haileyville, Oklahoma; Mrs. Cora Odle of Abilene and Mrs. J.W. Rowland of Dallas; a brother, Joe B. Freeman of Dallas; forty-one grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchilren.

Thomas Sanford Vincent, 80, of the Whiterock community, Whitewright, route 2, died Sunday at 6:15 a.m. in a Sherman hospital after a 5-months illness.  For the last 10 years he operated a store at Whiterock.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. in Sherman.  Burial was in Cedar Cemetery.
Mr. Vincent, a native of Tennessee, came to Grayson county in 1891.  For a number of years he operated a farm in the Ida community.  He was the son of the late Bennie Smith and Cynthia Lawrence.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are 8 sons, W.D. Vincent of Dorchester; B.C. Vincent of Lubbock; Horace Vincent of Whitewright route 2; Howard Vincent of Pasadena, California; J.C. Vincent of Tom Bean; T.S. Vincent of Garland; Dan Vincent of Duarte, California; and Roe Vincent of Garland; 4 daughters, Mrs. J.A. Neal and Mrs. Hoyt Skipworth, both of Whitewright; Mrs. D.H. Cobb of Grand Prairie; and Mrs. Lee Dodson of Van Alstyne; 4 brothers, J.H. Vincent, Frank Vincent, U.L. Vincent and J.A. Vincent of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Willie Little of Sherman; 42 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
