Alexander Harris Vick was born on
July 18, 1874 in Alabama to "Sandy" Alexander Vick and Caroline Williams Vick.  His twin brother died shortly after birth along with his mother after they both became ill.  Alexander was raised by various family members after his mother's death.

Alexander married Ruthy Harmon June 19, 1916 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

Alexander Harris Vick, my Papa, died on February 17, 1959 at his home in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. He is buried in Cedarlawn Cemetery - Garden of Sunset,
lot 168, beside his daughter, Estelline Ruth Vick McDonald.

Ruthy Harmon was born on February 8, 1900 in Kleburg, Dallas County, Texas to John Wesley Harmon and Lillian Jones Harmon. After the death of Alexander Harris Vick, Ruthy married George William Mulkey Howell on November 15, 1973 in Howe, Texas. She died January 10, 1982 in Sherman, Texas and is buried beside her 2nd husband in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Good Shepherd-B, log 265-4, in Sherman, Texas.


Home of John Wesley Harmon and Lillian Jones Harmon in Kleburg, Texas
They are buried in a small private family cemetery in Kleburg, Texas.


Ruthy, my grandmother, is believed to be one of the children in this photograph.
