The home of Jacob Warren Miller in the Cannon Community

JOHN CLINTON MILLER married Bloomer. They had seven children.  Bloomer was pregnant with their last son when John died. She name him after his father. Bloomer Miller never remarried and worked odd jobs to support her children. She died of ovarian cancer and is buried in the Cannon Cemetery next to John and their daughter, Maudie Miller-Ikard. Three of their childred are: Louise, Maudie, Willie Bell (1902 - 1985).

JAMES WILLIAM MILLER had a much younger cousin, John Bunyan Dicken, who was his mother's brother. John Bunyan Dicken married Rilla Hensley in 1901.  It is possible that because of their marriage, James and Delia were introduced and married at the Cannon Church.  Delia is the sister of Rilla Hensley. Their marriage may have been a marriage contract, according to a wedding announcement.  Before his death in 1968, James Miller asked his son, Hugh, to go to Cannon and secure two plots next to Frank for him and Delia. Hugh did so and constructed a cement border with two additional plots for future generations.  Their children are: Frank, Irene, Hugh, Elinore.

JACOB ALMORINE MILLER married his first cousin, a Miller, and moved to Colorado. He attempted to dodge the draft during World War I but was caught.  He died in 1959 and is buried in the Littleton, Colorado cemetery next to his wife and only son, Wayne Miller.

EDWARD CLARENCE "Eeed" MILLER (1886 - 1980), according, to family rumors, married twice and had two illegitimate children. He was a Chiropractor.

LULA LUCRETIA MILLER married John Alexander. They moved to Lubbock to become farmers.  Her father, Jacob Warren Miller died at their house in Whitewright, Texas.

ESTHER MILLER died at the age of eight years old from diphtheria. She is buried in the Cannon Cemetery by her mother, Isabella Miller.

CLYDE MILLER married and moved to Los Angeles, California.

DIXIE MILLER married a local man from Cannon.

BEECHER MILLER was pushed into an early marriage to Eva by his father. They moved to Deniso where he was a barber and she worked in a department store on the square. Beecher felt sorry for a homeless man that he met on the streets of Denison and allowed the man to stay with him on occasion, which drove his wife batty. Beecher died of heart failure in 1957. Eva never remarried.
