Evans-Carpenter Cabin     R. J. Evans, builder of the log cabin, and his wife, Laura Filps Evans Built around 1857 in the Cherry Mound Community by R.J. Evans. J.C. Carpenter bought the cabin and added three rooms. John Patterson bought the property for a new home; as he dismantled the building, he found the cabin.
