Dr. Donald H. Brandt DR. DONALD BRANDT SPEARHEADS HEART CRUSADE FOR AREA
Dr. Donald H. Brandt, member of the Katy Hospital staff, was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1920. He came to Texas for his collegiate work, receiving a BS degree from Southern Methodist University and his MD from the University of Texas. He served his 2 year internship at Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and completed his residency at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas for 3 years. While in service he served in the European theater and was chief of the venereal disease control at Frankfurt, Germany. Before starting his private practice in Ft. Worth, Dr. Brandt spent a year in clinical pathology during his residency. In his private practice, Dr. Brandt specialized in internal medicine. After spending 2 years in Ft. Worth, he came to Denison in July 1952. He married Helen Fisherman in Austin. They had three children: Donald Jr, William, and Frank.
