Edward L. Seay M.D. Edward
Lee Seay was born December 29, 1872 in Louisville, Kentucky, a son of
Edward Harrison Seay and Margaret A. Mock. The Seay family came
to Texas during Edward's early boyhood days. His education was in
the public schools of Denison and the Gate City Literacy and Commercial
Academy of Denison.
Determined upon the practice of medicine, he attended the University of Louisville, Kentucky, graduating in 1896. He then began practicing in Denison, where he has since remained, and in the nine years of his identification with the medical fraternity here, his business has constantly grown and his success and reputation increased. He is conscientious in the performance of all his professional duties and has high regard for the ethics of the medical fraternity. In 1898, Dr. Seay was united in marriage to Miss Vesta Nancy 'Nannie' Mathes in Denison. They have one child, Edward M. Seay, who was born here. In politics Dr. Seay is Democratic and fraternally is connected with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Ever courteous and affable, he is highly esteemed socially as well as professionally. His capability inspires confidence and his cheery presence in the sick room is a valued supplement to his professional knowledge and skill. Dr. Seay's second marriage was to Mrs. W. A. Lovellette January 29, 1927. Dr. Edward Lee Seay died January 31, 1930 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas. Sources B. B.
