Mom was born to Alexander H. Vick and Ruthie Harmon Vick on July 8, 1923 in Platter, Bryan County, Oklahoma.  She was the third of nine children.  The family lived in Oklahoma and the Sherman area most of their lives.

On July 29, 1945 she married Roby Clarence Mager, my dad, in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.  They would have three children.  Most of my childhood we were raised and went to school in Duncanville, Dallas County, Texas.  My parents later divorced on December 14, 1971, I believe.

Mom later married Norman Rufus McDonald on November 1, 1976 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.  They lived in Jefferson, Harrison County, Texas until her death at her home on July 21, 2008.  She had just turned 85 years old thirteen days earlier. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing.

Mom always said she would like to be buried beside her Daddy, if possible, and I'm so glad that was made possible.
She was buried in the Cedarlawn Cemetery between  Sherman and Denison,Texas.
