Dad, Roby Clarence Magers, was born on June 9, 1924 in Whitewright,
Grayson County, Texas to Lewis Melvin Magers and Bertha Janora
(Wiggins) Magers. He was raised all his childhood in Whitewright.
He married my Mom, Estelline Vick, on July 25, 1945 in Sherman, Grayson County Texas. They had three children, all girls: Barbara Jean, Katherine Lee Ann (me), and Linda Gail. They raised us in Duncanville, Texas most of our childhood. Then, after 26 years. they divorced. Dad moved in with my family and I in Mount Vernon, Texas in 2006 because of his health. He remained here until he passed away at home on April 4, 2007.
