Ambrose Bible
1926 - 1908

Ambrose Bible was born in Greene County, Tennessee.  He married Lydia Knipp February 4, 1851 in Green County, Tennessee.

Ambrose brought his family to Texas in 1883. He bought land and donated or sold much of it to encourage the growth of the area which was named for him - Ambrose, Texas.  He also donated land to all churches who built in the small community.
