LAST RITES WEDNESDAY FOR PASCAL LANGFORD, A FORMER RESIDENT
Last rites for William Pascal Langford, 38, who died at the U.S. Veterans hospital at Muskogee, Oklahoma, Monday, were held at the Rose Hill
Baptist church Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. C. Chumbley conducting the services. Mr. Langford had been ill for 6 years.
The American Legion posts of Whitewright and Van Alstyne conducted military services at the grave.  Burial was in the Warden cemetery.
Mr. Langford served in the U.S. Army during the World War.
He was born September 4, 1896 near Rose Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Langford.  He united with the Baptist church while a boy.
Following his discharge from the Army, he was married to Miss Birdie Clayton at Altus, Oklahoma, on June 4, 1924.   A daughter, Lera, was born to this union.
Besides the wife and daughter, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Langford of Whitewright; a brother, Norman; and 4 sisters, Mrs. V.S.
Enloe, Longview; Mrs. J.W. George, Duke, Oklahoma; Mrs. Sue Chumbley, San Antonio; and Mrs. J.T. Meador, Odessa.
