Bean 23 June 1884 - 21 October 1972 Pilot Point Post Signal Funeral services for Mary Estella Bean, 95, of Whitesboro were held Saturday afternoon, August 16, 1980 in the Huff Chapel in Whitesboro. She died Thursday, August 14, 1980 at the Medical Plaza hospital in Sherman. Rev. Cass French of Sherman and Rev. Kenneth Summy of Whitesboro conducted the ceremonies. Burial was at Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Mrs. Bean was born on November 24, 1884 in Dexter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Derryberry. She married James Arthur Bean on January 1, 1905 in Dexter. She was a housewife and member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Whitesboro. Survivors include two sons, Jim Bean, Jr. of Grand Prairie and Billie Gene Bean of Gainesville; five daughters, Alma Neal Wallis of Sadler; Zelma McCarter of Gainesville; Frances Hargesheimer of Southmayd; Mary Jo Turner of Grand Prairie; and Floy Stevens of Turlock, California; brother, Alvis Derryberry of Wellington; two sisters, Mrs. Pat Patterson of Wellington and Mrs. Jessie Corbett of Whitesboro; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Charlie Tamplin, E.L. Hall; Paul Bean, Earl Hargesheimer, W.T. Center and Henry Ford. Elton P. Bean 21 February 1907 - 26 June 1973 Lessie Bean 21 June 1909 - 23 September 1994
