He was a lifetime resident of the area, born Dec 12, 1903 in the Rock Creek Community. He was a retired farmer and city employee. He was the son of John and Emma Long. He married Pearlie Kanady July 30, 1929 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Survivors are his wife; son, Raymond Long; daughter Geneva Apple; brother, Addis Long; sister, Mrs. Frank Carr and four grandchildren.
