Whitesboro Billy G. Alexander 21 September 1938 - 6 November 1988 Staff Sergeant US Army Betty Rawlinson Alexander, 84, went to her Heavenly home on February 8, 2023 and was received into the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, at Alliance Health in Durant, Oklahoma. Ms. Alexander was born August 8, 193 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, daughter of William Tandy and Elzada Reed Rawlinson. Betty married the love of her life, Billy Gene Alexander, on August 21, 1963. Betty worked at Texas Instruments for over 20 years. Betty also worked in Home Health caring for others for many years. Betty was affectionately known to most as "Grandma." Betty loved the Lord and lived her life by Baptist faith. Betty loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her whole heart; she had a heart of pure gold and was definitely a "hoot." Betty was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: brothers, Ivon Mothers, Dub Rawlinson, Charles Rawlinson; sisters: Inez Rawlinson, Christine Ford and Nancy Emerson; stepdaughters: Sherri Husky and Deborah Beckett. Ms. Alexander is survived by her loving daughter, Tandy Holley and husband, Kenny, of Achille, Oklahoma; son, Billy Alexander and wife, Cathy, of Whitesboro, Texas; beloved grandchildren, Josh Dobbins and fiance, Samantha Singleton; Danielle Holley and fiance, Dylan Adams; Cody Alexander and Victoria Haberer; Shawn Alexander; Keaton Alexander; great-grandchildren: Casey, Aubrey & Aiyden Alexander; sister, Helen Starrett and husband, Doyle, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; also many friends that are considered family. Graveside service was held Monday afternoon, February 13, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Adam Cantrell officiating in Whitesboro, Texas. Pallbearers were Ovid Cole, Danny Paul Skinner, Kreg Swindell, Kevin Swindell, Aaron Armstrong, Caleb Smith and Chris Greenhaw.
