Gail Grigg has a huge file of photographic negatives made by her
father, Paul Cravens, who was a photographer from about 1940 until his
death in 1990; he worked at the Sherman Democrat 1947 - 1972, as well
as in Dallas and other north Texas towns. George Steppenfield
also worked as a photographer at the Sherman Democrat as well as his
