Monday, June 5, 2006 WHITESBORO — Funeral Services for Carl Lonzo Poff, 94, are set for 4 p.m. today, at the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Harold Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Mr. Poff died Saturday June 3, 2006, at his home in Whitesboro. He was born October 14, 1911, in Elk City Oklahoma, to T.E. and Anna Lou Grissom Poff. He graduated from Merritt High School in Merritt, Oklahoma in 1930 and Southwest Teachers College in Weatherford in 1951. He taught school at Union Hill, Oklahoma; White Rose, Oklahoma; Sivells Bend, Gordonville and Whitesboro. He married Una Fae Diltz on September 4, 1937, in Weatherford. Survivors include son, Johnny Poff of Palm Bay, Florida; daughter, Karla Kay Allerton of MelBourne, Florida; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Wilson of Elk City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Una Fae Poff on March 6, 1986; brothers Raymond and Roy Poff; and two sisters, Cleo Robbins and Bonnie Nessar.
