Funeral services for Frank Dillard Thomas, 36, president of the First National Bank at Whitesboro, were held Monday at the Methodist Church in Whitesboro, of which he was a member.  He died at 1 p.m. Sunday at a Sherman hospital.
The Rev. W.D. Craig, Royse City; the Rev. Hugh S. Porter, andthe Rev. Charles W. Estes, pastor, Whitesboro Presbyterian Church, officiated.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery at Whitesboro.
Mr. Thomas was born and reared in Whitewright, son of the late E.O. and Mary Catherine Thomas, pioneer citizens of Whitewright.  He attended the Whitewright public school and Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College at Stillwater, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Whitesboro Booster Club and the Sigma Nu fraternity.
He went to Whitesboro in 1920 as bookkeeper in the old City National Bank, rising to president.  In 1932, when the First National and Guaranty State consolidated into the Whitesboro National Bank, he was elected president.
He was married to Miss Evelyn Scheid of Whitesboro September 15, 1921.
He is survived by his wife; son, Frank Thomas, Jr.; daughter, Mollie Jo; two brothers, Manly Thomas, Los Angeles and E.O. Thomas, Tom Bean; five sisters, Mrs. F.E. Douglas, Graham; Mrs. Mary Ryon, Dallas; Mrs. J.A. Scott, Los Angeles; Mrs. Earl Sparks, Amarillo; and Mrs. Sterling Evans, Houston.

Among those attending the funeral for Frank Thomas at Whitesboro Monday were Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Bryant, Jr., Mrs. H.C. Willis, Mrs. Roby Childress, Mrs. J.M. Simmons, Mrs. J.L. Kirkpatrick, Mrs. O.L. Jones, Mrs. Albert L. Jackson, Misses Inez and Gladys Ray, Jack Nossaman and J.H. Waggoner.  Mr. Thomas was born and reared in Whitewright and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Thomas.
