WHITESBORO- Funeral services for Frances Helen (Bullard) Hawkins, 78, were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan and Rev. Frank Hawkins officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery. Service arrangements were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Frances passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on February 28, 1933 in Collinsville, Texas to John Wesley and Ina Margaret (Kelly) Bullard. She married Jackson H. Hawkins on August 13, 1949 in Hibbitt, Texas. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. She enjoyed working in the garden, cooking and taking care of friends and family. She loved to read her Bible every morning.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Hawkins and wife, Carla of Brownwood and Dayton Hawkins of Whitesboro; two daughters, Gail Kindiger and husband, Jimmie of Whitesboro and Dina Watson and husband, Terry of Denton; two sisters, Marie Walker of Whitesboro and Bessie Dickey of Denison; a brother, Olan Bullard and wife, Mildred of Sherman; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ina Bullard; husband, Jackson Hawkins; 6 brothers, Thurman, Clifton, Wayne, Afton, Frank and John Wesley Bullard; 2 sisters, Leona Parker and Loretta Walker. Pallbearers will be; Lane Watson, Seth Hawkins, Isaac Hawkins, Jason Bounds, Monty Moon, Scott Wilson, Kenny Befus and Shane Gibson.----Meador Funeral Home
