Whitesboro - Graveside services for Don Lee Price, 73, were held Friday morning, March 28, 2014 with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating at Oakwood Cemetery. Don went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas.
He was born June 4, 1940 in Whitesboro, Texas, son of Sherman and Jewel Price. He grew up and went to school in Whitesboro. Don married Brenda Evans on March 9, 1959 in Gainesville, Texas. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Sherman, Texas. He was a carpenter for 30 years.
He was very talented and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to read and watch westerns, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his 3 grandsons. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Price of Whitesboro; 2 daughters, Donna Mathis and husband, Timmy, of Whitesboro; and Margaret Jolliff and husband, Greg, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; brothers, Joe Price and wife, Glenda of Whitesboro; Lynn Price and wife, Beth, of Pottsboro; and Billy Price and wife, Kay, of Whitesboro; sister, Kay Agan of Plano, Texas; 3 grandsons, Josh Mathis and wife, Kristen, of Fargo, North Dakota; Kyle Jolliff and wife, Meredith, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and Evan Jolliff of Lone Grove, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Price; mother, Jewel Swissney; sister, Mary Belle McWain; and brother, Larry Paul Price.
