Morning News 20 August 1940 Mrs. Grinstead, 107, To Be Buried Tuesday Sherman, Texas, Aug. 19 - Funeral services were held at Sedalia, Mo., Monday afternoon for Mrs. Miranda Elizabeth Grinstead, 107, former resident of Grayson County, who died at the home of her youngest son, Pam R. Grinstead, Longwood, Mo. She lived at Whitesboro fifteen years and spent the winter with her daughter, Mrs. E.H. Bounds of Sherman, from 1915 to 1928. The body is due to arrive in Whitesboro at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday and will be taken to Oakwood Cemetery for burial beside her husband, William Grinstead, who died about 1900. Born in Russellville, Ky., Mrs. Grinstead moved with her parents to Missouri when she was 5 years old. She was the mother of thirteen children, nine of whom are living. Mrs. Grinstead left more than 100 direct descendants. Living children are Mrs. Carrie Simpson, New York; Mrs. E. Hall, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Willis Taylor, Marshall, Mo.; Mrs. James L. Taylor, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Bounds, Sherman; Mrs. Walter C. Gillespie, Sedalia, Mo.; J.E. Grinstead, Kerrville; H.F. Grinstead, Columbia, Mo.; and P.R. Grinstead, Longwood, Mo.
