Whitesboro Rev. Constantine H. Dryden 20 May 1809 - 21 November 1882 Constantine
Francis Dryden, son of William and Sarah Dryden, was born in Washington
County, Virginia May 20, 1809. As a boy, he moved to Kentucky
with his parents, then to Missouri about 1830, settling in Davis Co.
He was licensed to preach February 21, 1835. He and Miss Rebecca C. Buford were married September 17, 1838. They settled in Greene County, Missouri in 1845. He served as chaplain in the Confederate Army. He died November 21, 1882 near Whitesboro, Grayson Co., Texas, leaving behind his wife and four children; four children preceded him in death. By J.B.
