 Whitesboro  Florine Drake 20 October 1921 - 14 April 2011 Earl Vernon Drake 14 November 1912 - 25 September 1992 wed 18 June 1943 The Gainesville Register Friday, April 15, 2011 Whitesboro - Graveside services for Florine Drake, 89, were held Saturday, April 16. 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro with Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Mrs. Drake passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Sherman.S She was born October 20, 1921 in Cisco, daughter of Jessie Taylor and Pauline Spoon. She graduated from Cisco High School and worked for Western Union in Lubbock. She married Earl Vernon Drake in Lubbock June 18, 1943. They lived in Kermit 1943 until 1978 at Carter Foundation Oil Camp, moving to Whitesboro in January 1978. She is survived by her son, Dr. Roy Drake and wife, Judy, of Whitesboro; two granddaughters, Kimberly Anne Loy and husband, Jeffrey, Hurst; and Kelly Elizabeth Marshburn and husband, Jason, of Arlington. Florine was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and two brothers, Homer Taylor and Barron Taylor.
