Whitesboro - Funeral services for Emma Belle Truitt. 91, were held Friday morning, August 18. 2012 at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Lonnie Dotson officiating. Interment followed the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
She passed away on August 15, 2012 in North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Texas.
Emma was born June 12, 1921 to James Columbus and Lillie Mae Purcell Davidson in Myra, Texas. She married R.C. Truitt on January 27, 1941 in Madill, Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children - Robert Truitt of Jacksonville, Texas; Eddie Truitt of Gainesville; Rosalee Truitt of Whitesboro; and Doris Hilliard of Sanger, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Jane Dotson.
Pallbearers were Anthony Truitt, Shane Truitt, Lewis Hilliard, Gene Crowder, Alan Woody and Clyde Dotson. - - - Meador Funeral Home
