Whitesboro - Funeral services for Mary Jolene Thomas, 58, were held Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2015 in the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro with Rev. Clay Brantley officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. All services were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
She died on January 20, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Mary was born January 7, 1957 in Parsons, Kansas, daughter of Joseph Alban and Mary Louise Volmer Sevart. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Whitesboro and served as a youth leader. Mary was employed as an RN and worked with mental health patients. She also worked for North Texas Home Health. Mary had a heart to serve others. She loved her grandchildren, who knew her as "Nonny". She was also a great guitar picker.
She is survived by her husband, Robin Thomas; son, Joshua Donahue and wife, Emily; daughter, Annie McEuin; step-daughters, Shawna Cox and Sky Thomas; grandchildren, Kera, Emma, Jenae, Macy, Tommy, Charlie, Brooklyn, Dylan and Austin; brothers, Terry Sevart and wife, Penny, and Jeff Sevart and wife, Sherrie; sister, Mickey Sevart; mother, Lou Sevart; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Debbie Sevart. - - - Meador Funeral Home
