R.L. Huffhines, 79, of Whitesboro, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center, Sherman.
He was born August 14, 1930 in Red Branch, Texas to Royce and Nora Bell Lane Huffhines.  R.L. was a farmer and rancher.  He married Hazel Lucille McCormick on June 24, 1952 in Sherman.  They lived in Pilot Point for many years before retiring to Whitesboro in 1997.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tony Huffhines and wife, Debra, of Whitesboro; and Stan Huffhines and wife, Lori, of Mabank; a brother, Royce Huffhines, Jr. of Whitesboro; two sisters, Malva Aycock of Dallas; and Parthenia Lemmons of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Emily, Maddox and Abby Huffhines.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ouita Baker and Fredna Boswell Clark.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro.  Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.



Tony Lee Huffhines

Whitesboro - Funeral services for Tony Lee Huffhines, 57, of Whitesboro were held Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John A. Williams officiating, assisted by Bro. Jerry Billings.  Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.  He passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born to Roy L. and Hazel Lucille McCormick Huffhines on November 24, 1957 in Sherman, Texas.  He married Debbie Marple January 22, 1978 in Atoka, Oklahoma.  Tony loved his Harley Davidson and was a member of the Hoggs.  He was a rancher all his life and attended the Church of Jesus Christ in Denison, Texas.  He loved to collect knives and coins and loved John Deere tractors.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of Whitesboro; mother of Whitesboro; mother-in-law, Vivian Marple of Sanger; sister-in-law, Lori Huffhines of Mabank; nieces, Ashley Marple of Sanger; Emily Ruppanner of Hitt, Texas; Abby Huffhines of Mabank; Crystal Landers of Southmayd; nephews, Maddox Huffhines of Mabank and Mark Marple of Gainesville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Stan Huffhines. - - - Meador Funeral Home
