Whitesboro Gladys Evelyn Huffman 21 February 1921 - 28 March 2009 Billy Bob Huffman 10 October 1925 - 29 September 1997 wed 4 October 1965 Whitesboro - Funeral services for Gladys Evelyn Huffman, 88, were held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan and Rev. Johnny Reed officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Services were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro. Gladys passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her residence. She was born February 21, 1921 in Grayson County to William C. and Nettie Ridinger Roberts. Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro where she sang in the choir and worked in the nursery for many years. She loved sports, especially basketball and earned the nickname, "Bullet." Gladys was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include son, Bobby Huffman and wife, Mandra, of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter, Karen Huffman Loader and husband, Bill, of Aubrey; grandchildren, Kymberly LeBlanc and husband, Josh; Krystal Bowling; John Samuel Bowling, III and wife, Tiffany; Melissa Tague; Stephanie Tague; Jennifer Tague; and Shaun Tague; great-grandchildren, Vincent Harden; Tyler LeBlanc; Madyson LeBlanc; Wyatt LeBlanc; Harley Bowling; and Hayden Bowling; sister, Lisa Hunter of Whitesboro; nephew, Mike Hunter; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, John C. Carmack and Billy Bob Huffman; her parents; and 14 siblings.
