 Whitesboro  Rufus R. Rodgers 24 December 1899 - 29 June 1979 Bonnie H. Rodgers 12 April 1911 - 29 May 1982 wed 14 February 1929 Gainesville Daily Register Sunday, July 1, 1979 Whitesboro - Rufus Richard Rodgers, 79, died Friday in a Sherman hospital. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. D.D. Freeman of the Landmark Baptist Church of Whitesboro officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery. Rodgers was born December 24, 1899 in Hidenhammer, Texas, son of J.W. Rodgers and was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church of Whitesboro. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Mrs. Bill White; one brother, Carl Rodgers; two sisters, Virtie Adams and Effie Vannoy; three grandchildren and four great-granchildren.
