Services for Callan Joe Riley Pence, age 1, were held Sunday, February 14 at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jerry Scott officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.
Callan was born September 5, 2013 in Dallas, Texas and left this world on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from Children's Medical Center in Dallas after a courageous battle.
Callan was very strong willed and an absolute warrior even through the difficult times he encountered. Yet he always had a big smile on his face and was the happiest "sick" child with the biggest faith. Callan was very independent and loved being with all his family. He loved music, bright colors and watching movies.
He is survived by his loving parents, Nancy Pence and Chad Evans; maternal grandparents, Ronnie Pence and wife, Janet; paternal grandmother, Diane Robertson; paternal grandparents, Bill and Camella Evans; aunt, Rebecca Webster and husband, Erik; uncle, Chris Evans; great-grandmother, Nancy Conner; special family friend, Dena Hamilton and numerous cousins and extended family.
