"Bill" Edgar Weaver, 68-year-old Sherwood Shores resident, died
Wednesday, November 30, 2005, in Collinsville Care Center. Funeral services were held Friday, December 2, 2005 at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. Rev. Wendyle Glenn conducted the service, assisted by David Richards and Alan Alexander. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home. The son of the late William Edgar Weaver, Sr. and Bertha Floreind Getso Weaver, he was born November 15, 1937 in Dublin, Texas. He married Phyllis Ecker December 3, 1982 in Amarillo, Texas. He was a retired meteorologist with the National Weather Service after 37 years, was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Cold War, and N.O.A.A. He was a member of Sherwood Shores Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Sherwood Shores; five sons, Brad Richards of Flower Mound, Texas; Jerry Richards of Otis, Kansas; David Richards of Ft. Worth, Texas; Scott Weaver of Amarillo; and John Weaver of Amarillo; three daughters, Reba Russell of Amarillo; Jacquita Trimble of Malakoff, Texas; and Carol Alexander of Dumas, Texas; one sister, Helen Holland of Van Alstyne, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
