Thressie M. Watson was born in King City, Gentry Co., Georgia, daughter of Martin Luther Maeyers and Adella Della Isador Leonard. She married Andrew Forrest Scheid, who was born in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas, son of Martin V. Scheid and Viola Watson. To this union were born 4 children, two sons, Martin Van Scheid and Andrew Max Scheid, born 1920 and two daughters, Vieda Scheid Kelley Harper (1912 - 2003). Martin Van Scheid was killed by sniper fire on the island of Guam during World War II.
