"Bill" Roe 13 May 1919 - 25 June 2012 wed 20 November 1943 Whitesboro - Funeral services for William "Bill" Roe, 93, were held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Ken Hilderbrand officiating. All services were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro. He passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 in Gainesville, Texas. William "Bill" Franklin Roe was born May 13, 1919 to John W. and Pearly Jane Wilson Roe in Bagwell, Texas. He married Ella Frances Davidson on November 20, 1943 in Marysville, Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro. He was retired from Burlington Industries. He is survived by his daughters, Ann Dunnam and husband, Bill, of Whitesboro; and Reba Del Rosa and husband, Carlos, of Callisburg, Texas; grandchildren, Vickie Watson and husband, Donnie; Mason Day and wife, Michelle; Anthony Day and wife, Faith; Kevin Day and wife, Lannette; one great-grandson; 4 great-great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; 4 step great-grandchildren; 5 step great-great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Martin of Eureka Spring, Arkansas; brother, Roy Roe and wife, Regina, of Kemp, Texas; sisters-in-law, Amma Belle Snow, Alice Davidson, and Margaret Roe. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; sisters, Sudie Lee Roe, Oleta Stewart, Johnnie Tucker, and Patsy Roe; brother, Nelson Roe. Pallbearers were Mark Pike, John Yeargan, Jerry Johnson, Terry Felderhoff, Mike Davidson, Scottie Moody, Bill Bullock and Dusty Weaver.
