services for Roy Olcie Roe, 91, of Kemp, Texas, were held at 1 p.m.
Monday, March 5, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, officiated
by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery. He passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Ennis Care Center in Ennis, Texas. Roy was born in Gainesville, Texas on March 17, 1926 to John and Pearly Wilson Roe. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was of the Baptist faith. He married Regina Ray in Euless, Texas on June 23, 1979. Roy loved to build fence and was able to make it his profession for over 40 years; he enjoyed the outdoors, working on his tractor around the farm and caring for his cows and horses. His favorite pastime was sitting on the porch in the swing each morning drinking his coffee. He is survived by his wife, Regina Roe of Kemp; daughter, Nancy Conner of Sherwood Shores; daughter, Pam Arbor of Forney; daughter, Penny Riley of Granbury; daughter, Patty Satterfield; daughter, Tammy Roe of Garland; daughter, Carol Coons of Dallas; stepson, David Garth of Waco; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
