Collinsville - Services for Thurman R. Metcalf, 91, of Collinsville were held at Huff Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marlin Sharp officiating. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery at Whitesboro under the direction of Huff Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Pallbearers were Danny Teeters, Roger Teeters, Ricky Teeters, Larry Riley, Clayton Riley, Leon Hunneycutt, and David Hunneycutt.
Mr. Metcalf died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
He was born July 30, 1915 in Kelso, Tennessee, son of Millard A. Melton and Gracie Lovine Melton. He was employed by the Texas Department of Highways and was a Baptist.
Survivors include a sisters, Essie Hunneycutt of Whitesboro and Monie Teeters of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
