Smiers and son PFC Edward, stationed at Camp Hood, attended the funeral Tuesday at Whitesboro of an uncle of Mr. Smiers, G.T. Summy.  Mr. Summy was an early settler of Whitesboro, and the nephew made his home with him for several years in his school days.
