Hacker 7 October 1951 - wed 13 May 1972  The Herald Democrat July 8-9, 2008 Whitesboro - Funeral services for Karen Diane Hacker, 56, were held Wednesday, July 9 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan, pastor, and Rev. Harold Watson, pastor emeritus, officiating. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Services were under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Pallbearers were Joe Hawkins, David Ragsdale, Daniel Hawkins, Austin Hawkins, Dennis Hawkins, and Jeff Temple. Karen passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Parkland Medical Center in Dallas. She was born August 9, 1951 in Gainesville to W.J. and Lola Gravette Hawkins. Karen married Louis Hacker May 13, 1972 in Whitesboro. Survivors include her husband; her mother; 3 brothers, Ronald Hawkins of Sherman; Dennis Hawkins of Whitesboro; and Robert "Butch" Hawkins and wife, Linda, of Whitesboro; 4 nephews, Joe Lynn Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, Daniel Hawkins, and Austin Hawkins; 2 nieces, Jana Zielke and Toni Hawkins; and 4 grandnieces.
